The bank was founded by the Seligmans, a Jewish Family, in 1873.     This very rare original stock certificate was engraved by Union Litho in San Francisco cirica 1900 and was issued by the Anglo & London Paris NB between 1900 and 1930 (earliest dates shipped first, so don't wait to bid). It has a bold ornate "3-D" title, a fancy olive border, a fancy medallion at the top, and a beautiful embossed seal with a large flying eagle! Overall size is approx. 8" x 11".      The stock is filled in entirely by hand and hand signed by the President and the Cashier of the bank! It is signed again on the back under a special clause regarding transfer of shares stating that the President or Cashier has to approve such transfers!        Condition remains crisp and clean but for some light aging or wear along the edge outside the border and some light stub residue at the left, which can be soaked off in very hot water (email for directions). Your certificate will have 1 to 3 forms of cancellation: rubber stamp (as shown), small scattered punch-holes along the bottom, or triangular cuts in the bottom border.       Collector Value: $100.00.
