Rarely offered in this outstanding condition. The exact color, toning and lustre that everyone is out there looking for. A very choice example of this rare Redbook-listed variant. PCGS has graded a total of 304 examples of the more commonly seen Large 3 variety, but just 41 of this Small 3 type - of those, just 8 are graded higher than this specimen. This coin has the ideal look of an early silver coin, with lovely pale blue and sea-green peripheral color fading to silvery-gray centers. Genuinely rare, very, very original.
