An once in a life time opportunity to acquire a SCARCE and attractive Roman portrait of a young boy, whose destiny wasn't that lucky - he was only 13 when became a victim of the cruel customs of his time. Son of Claudius and Valeria Messalina, in AD 49 his mom initialed an unsuccessful complote against the Emperor in order to install her young son on the Throne. Following, she lost her life leaving Britanicus unprotected orphan. In AD 51 Claudius married the second time to Agrippina - mother of future Emperor Nero. After gradually replacing the orphan with her own son as Claudius' favorite, she finally decided to get rid of her step-son and eventually poisoned him in AD 55, thus making Nero the only undisputed candidate to inherit the Empire from the old and ill Claudius.
