This coin is larger than a Silver dollar, and HEAVY, in copper nickel. This coin is a ONE YEAR TYPE, dated 1965. It features the bust of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse, and the bust of Winston Churchill on the reverse, who was born in 1874, and died in 1965. This coin was issued to commemorate the death of Churchill, who was a noted British statesman and politician, who is best known as the British Prime Minister who led England from 1940 to 1945, during the dark days of WW II. He also served as Prime Minister a 2nd time, from 1951 until 1955. During his long storied career, he served with distinction in the British Army in India, Sudan, the 2nd Boer War in South Africa, and WW I. He also was Lord of the Admiralty during WW I,  in charge of Naval Affairs. Finally, he was a noted author and artist.
