They were intended to hold USA large cents or coins of similar size, but a previous owner adapted them to colonial coppers. Some have the large cent printing on one side, while others are unprinted, but all have had paper labels pasted beneath the openings with the variety attributions for either New Jersey or Connecticut coppers. Some of the variety numbers are typed, and others are hand written. One of the pages has only one row of the clear slides, but the others are all complete and in pretty nice condition.
