What you are looking at here is a VERY TIGHTLY WRAPPED Brick of $1 Federal Reserve Notes in its original packing from the Bureau of Printing and Engraving! The face value of this stack is $1,000. Within the sealed Plastic wrapping are 10 packs of $1 notes, each pack containing 100 notes. The series (year) is 2003-A and the Block is BD ... (NEW YORK District). Serial numbers possibly range from 60309001 - 60310000 (this is only what I can assume is inside, it doesn't always work out that way!). There is always the possibility of errors, star notes, blank backs, misprinted or unique patterns inside the individual packs where it is not searchable until you crack them open. If so, you will defintely find interesting and unusual serial numbers as stated above ... these are resellable on their own as a sealed brick and should give a head start to their initial value! You could usually verify all the info I provided by reading the BEP's standard printed sticker on the top of them, but for some reason the BEP did not fasten a sticker on this brick ... could this mean something??? I do know that on a "Turn Over" like this brick (see the last four digits) it eventually gets to serial number 9999 and flips. The BEP usually inserts a STAR NOTE in the pack ... these are ususally the RARE ones !!!! With no sticker, this brick seems very suspect and I almost kept it for myself and cracked it open! All these notes inside are Crisp, Uncirculated, Virgin Bills, untouched by human hands and craved by collectors. Contained in this bundle can be Potential Errors, Ink smears, Star Notes, etc ... Star Notes are actually replacement notes substituted by the Bureau of Printing and Engraving when dollar bills are made with Errors or Misprints (see below). If you are fortunate enough to get a pack, hold on to them! When an Error is made, and not suitable for circulation as determined by the BEP's inspectors, it is destroyed! But.... it is against policy to produce a dollar bill's serial number more than once, so ... a Star Note is used to replace the ones in error . Due to the low production numbers of these type of notes, and their unique attributes, they are considered rare, collectible and painstakingly sought after. This is a great "no-brainer" investment for the future ... it only seems obvious that Paper Money will soon come to an end and new ways, and matirials will be used to make our currency.
