He was the most capable emperor since Augustus and Claudius. The Romans celebrated the peace that came to the empire with the end of the civil war in AD 69, the Year of the Four Emperors. He and his son, Titus, successfully ended the war in Judaea, bringing peace and stability to both East and West. Vespasian rebuilt the structures in Rome damaged during the civil war including the Temple of Jupiter Optimus Maximus. He also built the great Colosseum. All Sales final.
