Description
You are bidding on a one of a kind unlisted trade token, I am unaware of another. This is for the serious token collector, one that can fill in until a higher quality version comes to market...if ever. On the first page of Hal Birt's token book under the town of Ajo is an R-10 Tait & McCluskey pentagon shaped "good for 15 cents" aluminum token valued at $200.00. This listed version is aluminum, about the size of a quarter & approximately octogan shaped(Some of edges are crisp and some appear more rounded) This token was metal detected and dug in Downtown Phoenix around the time of the Old Brewery excavation, 1994ish. Please thoroughly examine the photos before bidding. The back is very corrupted from mineralization in the soil, you can make out a few letters, part of the one and most of the zero. The front is in better shaped although it does have some metal corruption, pitting etc. & minor bending. Overall I would characterize the condition as AV/MH...About Vile/Mostly Hideous. This is not a returnable item, all sales are final. I state this as in my other tokens for sale caution the buyer as I want excellent feedback and good feelings all around. This pig is 100% lipstick free! So buyer beware and be aware. I would recommend that whoever the winning bidder is leave this token in the coin sleeve(old cardboard & plastic), or if you have a good delicate touch move it into a more permanent display holder of your choice. Again this item is geared to the serious Arizona Token collector who collects towns, types or overall Arizona History. Thank you
