Morgan built on Andrew Carnegie’s Legacy to form this company way back when, it became the World’s First Billion-Dollar Corporation.  It soon went on to become the Largest Steel Producer and even the Largest Corporation in the World.   The Federal Government tried to break it up in 1911 using Antitrust Laws but that effort failed.  But “Time and Tide wait for No Man” and it’s now only a Shadow of its Former Self.  In the intervening years it took us through Two World Wars and a whole lot else besides.   And when it was big – as the saying goes – it was very, very big.     The Vignette is striking and memorable:  A View inside Hell’s Furnace, so to speak.  Flanking the center are two Allegorical Figures: One on the Left representing Design and on the Right bearing a Sword - presumably to protect the Cornucopia of Coins spilling at his feet.
