Description
UNITED STATES PENNY COLLECTION Comes With A - CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY -This is to certify that each United States Penny in this collection is genuine legal tender coin struck by the United States Mint.  Each coin was hand-selected and individually inspected to assure the highest collectible quality. The Penny has been the foundation of America's monetary system for over 200 years -- and this collection includes five types of U.S. pennies. *  Large Penny (1793-1857)--the U.S. Mint's first Penny and the first coin ever struck under the authority of the United States government. *  Flying Eagle Penny (1856-1858) -- an experimental coin that was America's first-ever small Penny.  It was made to reduce the amount of expensive copper in coins and to make a smaller coin that was more convenient to carry. *  Indian Head Penny (1859-1909) -- one of the most beloved coins of all time.  The front features an Indian princess, and it was minted through the Civil War, the opening of the West to settlement, and the turn of the 20th Century. *  Lincoln "Wheat Ears" Penny (1909-1958) -- Issued to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln's birth, this was also the first circulating coin to feature a President.  The original coin has the famous "Wheat Ears" reverse design. *  Lincoln Steel Penny (1943) -- a one-year- only coin that was struck in steel to help save copper for America's World War II effort.  It is the first and only steel coin in history. Featured Large Penny - 1848 - VG-8  Flying Eagle Penny - 1858 - G-4 -- VG-8 Indian Head Penny  -  1904 - G-4 -- VG-8 Lincoln "Wheat Ears" Penny -  1943 S -- EF- 40 Lincoln Steel Penny - 1958 D -- EF- 40 I am not an expert but to the naked eye I estimate these coins listed to be as I have explained.
