An original brass token from the Wrightsville & Chanceford Turnpike Company, Gate No 2.. Samuel R. Kocher was the originator of the Wrightsville & Chanceford Turnpike Company. He was the first president. Kocher was a native of York County, PA. born in 1844. I understand there were only two gates on this road. I have already listed the token for Gate No. 1. It is eBay# 380027951746. This token is brass. Stamped with uniform lettering. The large letters measure approx. 1/4 inch tall. The heavy brass token measures approx. 1 3/16 x 2 inches. The reverse is blank. This item is in great condition. A nice addition to any collection of turnpike tokens or York County ephemera!! This item will cost $5.00 to ship and insure.
