The coin grades about uncirculated with some mint luster and is about as good as they come.   It is probable that Christopher Columbus and his crew had this type of coinage on board when they sailed to the New World.   The Spanish shield with the mintmark “S” to the left and the denomination “IIII” to the right is featured on the obverse of the coin.
