Description
This exceptional Spanish four reales was struck in the late 1400s under the rule of Ferdinand and Isabela of Spain. The coin grades about uncirculated with some mint luster and is about as good as they come. It is probable that Christopher Columbus and his crew had this type of coinage on board when they sailed to the New World. The Spanish shield with the mintmark “S” to the left and the denomination “IIII” to the right is featured on the obverse of the coin. Both the king and queen’s names are quite clear on the obverse legend. A museum-quality specimen of the highest historic importance!!!! (Images may be enlarged or reduced. The size of this coin is 31 mm.) *** Shipping charges will be $3.50 plus $1.50 per $100 value. For shipping outside of the U. S. A., please e-mail us for information and our quotation. Please allow additional shipping time for personal checks, as they must clear before items are mailed ***
