Republic in 1900.   Authenticated by NGC who do not assign a grade to these coins.  The coin has an even brown patina without stains or tarnish spots.  The surfaces do have some minor nicks and scuff marks.   As a consequence of the Boer War the importation of dies from Germany needed to strike the ZAR coinage was obstructed by the British blockade.  Out of necessity, blank penny planchets with plain milled edges were put into circulation.  Genuine examples of these coins are very scarce.       ___________________________________________________________________________________________   This item will be sent by international courier for $100.00.   Where possible, multiple purchases may be combined.  Bidders are welcome to ask questions.
