First a small hole is drilled in the coin, then a very fine jewelers saw blade is inserted through the hole and worked around the coins design, cutting away the background. Thus leaving the coins figure floating inside the coins outer edge (rim). The figure is selectively layered (by hand) in Brilliant Silver & Gold .  The coin is hermetically sealed against wear in clear, hard acrylic coating. NOTE: The Gold & Silver is much, much brighter and distinct than what the scanned photos show. This necklace comes with a 14K gold layered rope chain and placed in a pretty jewelry box.
