The Nantan Meteorite fall took place in China in May of 1516. One side of the coin includes a small embedded piece of this famed meteorite and pictures a farmer plowing his field by oxen with meteors streaming overhead. The other side shows the Palau arms. This is a 38.6mm Silver Proof coin which is dated 2006 and only has a mintage of 2500 pieces. This coin is in a plastic case and includes the information card. The information card reads "The issue of this legal tender Commemorative Coins is authorized by MG Bank of the Republic of Palau. It is guaranteed by the Mint to match the fineness and weight as set down in the specifications."
