It is the culmination of three reports into one packet. The packet simply contains both Electrolytic Scrap Recovery Reports and the companion HCl-H2O2 Leaching Report in an effort to reduce price and shipping/handling costs. While these two Electrolytic Systems function differently, the basic principles, manufacturing configurations and/or concepts are identical. The only differences are the electrolyte formula, anode configuration and final recovery procedures. Both systems use the same equipment and/or manufacturing materials except for the above differences. Singularly each system has a low risk of danger, however, special precautions must be utilized not to confuse or combine the two systems into one as dangerous, possibly explosive conditions could be created. Each must be considered a separate entity and treated as such. The buyer assumes all responsibility for safety. Most "Home Recyclers" do not posses enough Gold or Silver Plated materials to justify purchasing an expensive Recycling System. If you attempt a leaching system, you must carefully consider the dangers, costs and disposal. However, manufacturing and operating an Electrolytic Recovery Cell is simple, economical and safe. Years ago, I designed these very simple systems, using common, easily obtainable, household chemicals. The systems are small, portable, simple to manufacture, operate and store. They allows you to do whatever amount of scrap materials is on hand, economically, and without dependency on chemical or equipment suppliers. Much of the equipment and chemicals are probably in your home right now or are available at your local Hardware or Pharmacy. Everything necessary to effortlessly manufacture the Cell using common household tools and formulate the Electrolytic or Leach Solution. You can build an Electrolytic Scrap Gold Plate Recovery Cell very economically while restricting hazardous chemical use. The Electrolytes are economical and easy to use. Each report explains manufacturing, operating and maintaining the system, contains drawings of all the components and explains "Recovery and Smelting" . These Electrolytic Systems are not designed for all Gold or Silver Plate Recovery but it does work amazingly well on larger Gold and Silver Plated metal objects like Computer Pins or Hardware, Metal Stampings, Costume Jewelry, Gold or Silver Plated Jewelry, Eyeglass Frames, etc. It removes the plating fast and efficiently. The system can be configured to run five, six or more pieces simultaneously. The Electrolytic Scrap Gold Plate Recovery Cell will not work on pc boards, gold fingers or CPU's. However, these items are an integral part of the recycling process so a subsequent, companion HCl-H2O2 Leaching Report is included detailing gold recovery from these items, again using common household chemicals. The HCl-H2O2 Leach method of Gold Plate recovery is fast, clean and the least hazardous or invasive, of any system that I am aware of, due to the minor amount of acid being utilized. It works exceptionally well on Gold Fingers, Embedded Gold Plated PC Boards, Gold Plated Ladder Material, ultra-small Gold Plated Pins/Hardware, Gold Plated Glass, Gold Plated Plastics, CPU’s, etc. The HCl-H2O2 Leach solution is very easy to formulate and the chemicals are prevalent and easy to obtain. All reports are designed to use common, easily obtainable materials and chemicals, allowing the recovery of all gold or silver plated materials that may be encountered while recycling scrap jewelry or electronic items.
