In the background: a Parisian Landscape with the Sacre Coeur, Notre Dame. Rev/ There is a cartouche with the name (almost erased) of the Awarded : Mme Girod. Around among leaves and palm branches: Chambre Syndicale des Proprietes Immobilieres de la Ville de Paris (Union of the Parisian Estate Owners) Information and bibliography: This gold plated solid silver medal was engraved by Abel Lafleur (1875-1953) attended the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris and was pupil to Ponscarme, Chaplain and Charpentier. From 1901 he exhibited regularly at the Salon des Artistes Francais, at the Salon des Independants and at the Salon d'Automne. Lafleur was awarded a gold medal and became Chevalier of the Legion of Honor. Comment: The die of this gold plated solid silver medal was engraved by Lafleur in 1909. I don't know if it was used before 1934-the date this medal was struck- anyway, it is a very nice medal which was engraved in a very soft way. Except the name of the Awarded which was almost erased, it is in a very beautiful condition with a soft gold toning. It is still in its original box.
