Description
On offer is an EXTREMELY RARE - and perhaps piece of Australian State Government Agricultural medal history in the form of a 1929 Bronze medal issued to Farmers whose grain yields exceeded 15 bushels per acre with a minimum holding of 200 acres. Carlilse list this medal as 1929/1. It is 52mm in diameter and he states records show that a mere 118 farmers reached the required quota. So, what we have is a state government issued medal struck in a commonwealth of Australia mint at Perth with a mere handful in existence. The medal is a decent VF with light porous surfaces and a red-brown-orangy patina. ANY type of OFFICIAL government medal of this type tends to be VERY rare. Value is hard to determined BUT the fact is- that ALL such Australia items - whether they are medals, Coins, Stamps etc are TOP INVESTMENT MATERIAL with great demand, I will start this item at a price I think is CHEAP for what this is and let the MARKET decide final value. With Ebay's New "Feedback policy" which I and almost EVERY OTHER seller disagree with- the seller is left VULNERABLE. Our policy is SIMPLE. This is "WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET". PLEASE- read our conditions of sale CAREFULLY. Firstly- this is an AUCTION- not a department store where you just take something back if you change your mind. You make a PROMISE- a BINDING one. If I keep MY word and the item is GUARANTEED genuine then the rest is up to YOU. If there IS a misunderstanding give me a chance- all I ask is for YOU to keep YOUR word! "Solutions" are my middle name! GRADING POLICY: THIS IS A CONDITION OF SALE YOU AGREE UPON WHEN YOU PLACE YOUR BID: UNLESS A COIN OR NOTE IS CERTIFIED GRADING WILL ALWAYS BE SUBJECTIVE. I GUARANTEE AUTHENTICITY BUT THE GRADE GIVEN IS MY OPINION ONLY! IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH MY GRADING THEN BID LESS IF YOU WANT THE ITEM! AGAIN: THIS IS A CONDITION OF SALE YOU AGREE ON WHEN YOU BID. THE SCANS DO NOT LIE. YOU GET FACE ON PICS OF WHAT YOU ARE BIDDING ON - OBVERSE AND REVERSE. IF ARE NOT SURE- PLEASE- DO NOT BID. IF YOU WANT MORE SCANS- NO PROBLEM. AGAIN- FINAL CALL ON GRADING IS YOURS. I GUARANTEE AUTHENTICITY AND THIS IS THE ONLY GROUNDS FOR REFUNDS. THANKS FOR UNDERSTANDING. POSTAGE: A CONDITION OF SALE: I am currently in Australia- Registration is RECOMMENDED for this item- my postage fees are $4.95 REGISTERED in AUSTRALIA or $14.50 internationally. The medal is quite HEAVY - hence the increased postal charge. Please note: UNLESS you DO use registered post the risk is YOUR OWN. I cannot guarantee delivery of unregistered articles-THIS IS A CONDITION OF SALE- FAIR ENOUGH?   Australian and New Zealand customers can DIRECT DEBIT payment into account in EITHER countries and PAYPAL is also a PREFERED method of payment! Remember- Registered post services available!
