Silver tetradrachm of Emperor Trajan / Melcart from the Phoenician, Tyre mint, circa A.D. 119. I believe this coin to be in nearly VF condition. Authenticity guaranteed. He is one of the adoptive emperors, who along with Nerva, Hadrian, Antoninus Pius, and Marcus Aurelius, presided over the second golden age of the Roman empire. Trajan was an excellent commander and one of the most successful Roman generals. He expanded the limits of the Roman empire to its greatest extent. He conquered Dacia (Romania) and much of Parthia.
