This is one of the nicest Lincoln Railsplitter campaign pieces from 1860 we've seen in a long time. It's borderline Uncirculated; we can't find any wear even on Lincoln's temples/high spots of hair or on the reverse of the cabin. There are some rubs on the obverse and a couple of small spots--one on his cheek and one just to the right of the date. For that reason we'll call it 'borderline' rather than simply BU. It measures 27.25mm in diameter, brass and has a lot of original luster, primarily on the reverse. The reverse has some reddish spots as well, which are visible in the scan. Overall, it's a super and very high demand Llincoln piece. As we noted, you can purchase a junky example for nearly $100 and of course a pristine piece at auction for $1000+.
