Description
The Bank of Canada, Five Hundred Dollars, 1935, English Text, BC-17S. A Specimen note, with "SPECIMEN" overprinted twice at bottom center, and the serial numbers "A00000". Punch holes vertically three times. From the Bank of Canada Sale of 1999, where there were only 9 examples available. With light glue residue at the back right, as usual. Otherwise Unc. with a light counting crease. The $500 note is the holy grail of the Bank of Canada series. An issued note in VG would probably bring $50,000, and in AU-Unc, possibly a half million dollars! This Specimen note represents an opportunity to add a beautiful example to your collection that would otherwise be unobtainable or unaffordable.(Shipping costs: $2 for surface mail in North America; $4 overseas; $10 Express Post in Canada; $13 Express Post to the U.S; $18 Registered Mail internationally; will combine multiple lots in shipping charges, depending on weight and dimensions) (All items guaranteed genuine, unless otherwise specified. Fourteen-day return privilege if not satisfied. Multiple item lots must be returned in their entirety) (Canadian residents are subject to 5% GST; 13% HST in NB, NF, and NS; Ontario residents are subject to an additional 8% PST)
