Description
Starting at less than $22.50 per very rare bill..... DREADED KONVERSIONSKASSE BANKNOTES! RAREST NAZI MONEY ON EBAY! These gargantuan, ornately engraved German bank notes were issued in the 1930's by the Konversionskasse fuer Deutsche Auslandschulden (Bank for Foreign Debt). They both bear the imprint of the Reichsdruekerei (Imperial Nazi Mint) in Berlin!! The notes each measure almost 4.5" x 7.5", which makes them the largest currency ever issued by the Third Reich!!! Since Hitler repudiated Germany's foreign debt, this money was essentially worthless, which made its use as currency a very sinister one. When the Nazi Government began confiscating property from German Jews, it "paid" them with these very notes. Initially, it was sometimes possible to convert them at half their face value by selling them to the German Golddiskontobank, but eventually the owner found them to be worthless - one of the many indignities foisted upon the Jewish minority in the pre-WW2 years!! The notes are watermarked with a leaf pattern at the left which is tinted beige. They remain in Very Choice Crisp About Uncirculated or better (Choice CU or better, with very minor signs of handling)!! The engraving detail and color combinations are positively amazing. The notes look many times nicer than the scan suggests! Very very rare German currency in mint condition, with a poignant historical connection to the Holocaust at the lowest starting price in the world. This auction is for 1 very scarce 5 Mark note in green, magenta, red & beige and 1 rare 10 Mark note in red, magenta, lavender & beige. Serial numbers may vary from the scan - size, design and condition are identical! There may be a very rare pinhole cancellation at the bottom (unlisted in Krause World Paper Money!!) that says: "Entwertet" or "Wertlos" (Devalued or Worthless!!!!). No doubt this was applied by Nazi banks upon Jews' trying to cash them in!!! Collector Value: $400 (average of $200 each). Starting at a mere $22.50 a note! SAVE ALMOST 90%!!! ONE-TIME OPORTUNITY!! Jews being deported after being deprived of their property.
