Description
PENNSYLVANIA 50 Shs HIGHEST VALUE of 1773 MULTI - COLOR PENNSYLVANIA 50 Shillings ( Serial # 12623 )which was the HIGHEST VALUE of this series and the highest value issued in 1773 on MULTI - COLOR ( red & black ) printed ( by Hall & Sellers/Hall being a previous partner of Benjamin Franklin ) note ( dated October 1 ). Front printing is sharp, but the reverse is dull ( but better than the picture shows ) with evidence of mica flakes embedded into the high rag content paper. The signatures ( Issac Wharton=5 years later joined the British, Richard Willing & William Wishart ) are all in black whereas usually one of these 3 should have been in red ink. Overall condition is extremely nice, with no holes or tears with fairly full margins all around, but close in the upper right-there is evidence of a center fold and a ink spot or 2 on the reverse ( and a paper scrape ). ...............................................................
