The coin was circulated in Phoenicia, just north of Palestine, at the time of Christ during the Second to First Century B.C. A fine example, the coin is substantially intact and with much of its original texture and details.   The coin bears the image of Tyche the much-loved goddess of destiny and fortune. Nike, the Greek goddess of victory, appears on the back.    Thus, this coin is quite rare.
