Description
Very rare mining stock certificate from the Old Hundred Mining Company issued in 1906. The company operated the Old Hundred mine just minutes from Silverton, Colorado. The mine tour at the Old Hundred mine is one of the best around. The co. incorporated in Maine in 1906 with Howell Hinds as president. The company held 26 claims on Galena Mountain in Cunningham Gulch near the Silverton and Northern Railway. The property showed a quartz vein of 5' to 12' claimed width, carrying values in gold, silver, lead and copper developed mainly by tunnel. The company claimed to have upwards of 4 miles of workings. The co. also had a 200 ton daily capacity mill with 40 stamps. In 1908, the company was in bad shape financially according to the 1908 Copper Handbook. A copy of the above information from the Copper Handbook will come with the piece. Condition is VG. Black spot smaller than a dime in top border. Heavy Folds. Uncancelled. I have had a number of people looking for this certificate over the years. Here's your chance to own one. The certificate was too large for the scanner. Has full white borders on all four sides. Buyer to pay $3 S&H. CA residents add sales tax. Shipping can be combined on more than one item. Payment by check, money order or Paypal for instant shipping.
