The medal is 2-1/2" in diameter and weighs 134.4 grams of sterling silver (4.32 oz.). Many of these were melted during the early 80s. There were 3000 total struck in sterling silver of which less than an estimated 1000 of the earlier strikes were struck with the spelling error NII  HAU (should be NIIHAU). The medals were edge struck with a serial number, 406 for this medal, also with MEDALLIC ART CO. N.Y., and with STERLING SILVER. Medcalf and Russell's catalog lists this as 2MS-2a.
