Description
Grade one Eight Real 1622 Plate Fleet Coin Number 85A-174704, recovered in 1985 from the Treasure Galleon Nuestra Senora de Atocha, which struck a reef and sank during a violent storm in 55 feet of water in the Marquesas Straits, 40 miles below Key West, Florida. The ballest pile containing much silver, gold, and other valuable artifacts was discovered July 20, 1985. This coin minted in Potosi (then a part of colonial Peru) in the Reign of Philip lll, is accompanied with a certificate of authenticity with original stamp seal. I was a stock holder in Treasure Salvors, Inc., Key West, Florida. I have had this coin in my safe in it's original plastic envelope for over 20 years. Coin measurements are : width 1 1/4 inches and height 1 3/16 inches. Shipment will be made USPS Priority Mail and insured for full value.
