Commemorative Society • Series I & II >>>>>> --> >>>>>> --> National Commemorative Society • Series I & II, Sterling Silver Coin-MedalsComplete in Two Display BooksNO RESERVE!This is a set of Series I & II of the National Commemorative Society Coin-Medals. These Coin-Medals were issued in Sterling Silver Proofs and contain 50 coins in each series display booklet for a total of 100. I acquired this collector's piece from my Uncle who was an avid, coin, paper money and Collectable Coin collector (e.g., Franklin Mint, National Commemorative Society, etc.). When he passed away, his collection was divided among his nephews and I received this piece. In these series there are 100 completely different subjects and / or events recognized. Listed below is the Coin Number, Subject and the Sculptor. There are a few things about this set. When they were stored they were subject to changes in temperature. The vinyl on the booklets got heated and the vinyl stuck together on the backs of the two booklets (see pictures). The storage pages were sealed when they were obtained. Due to the same temperature issues, some of the edges have lifted and the proof-type coins were affected by temperature (and maybe moisture) and some have begun to yellow and tarnish. Also some of the display pages were taped to keep these edges down. Also, some of the descriptions under the coins have slid out of their place (see pictures). All in all, though, this set is complete and all are Sterling Silver Proofs. I have seen individual copies of some of these coin-medals on eBay and the prices range from $8.00 to $15.00. Due to the limitations and imperfections of the display booklets, I am starting low on this auction. I have decided to offer it with NO RESERVE and begin with, what I believe, is a reasonable price-- $5.00 each. I have additional pictures. If you would like to see pictures of each individual page, contact me through ebay and I can send them. The National Commemorative Society • Series INo.SubjectSculptor1Douglas MacArthur-Ferdinand Rabachini2In God We Trust-Gilroy Roberts3American Indian-Dexter Jones4Francis Scott Key-Frank Gasparro5John F.
