Description
A 28-Piece Set of $5 and $10 Silver Coins - 1976 - Uncirculated, to commemorate and help finance Canada's first Olympics. There are seven series of silver coins - each series has two $5 and two $10 coins, making a total of fourteen coins of each denomination. Each series depicts different Olympic themes. The $5 coin composition is .925 silver and .075 copper - weight of each is 24.30 grams. $10 coin is same composition and weighs 48.60 grams. These coins are all encased in styrene crystal capsules (believe it's styrene). One $5 coin shows a bit of discoloration. The proof coins were only offered in sets, and the "deluxe" case of issue was made of Canadian white birch with a specially tanned steer hide cover with a black insert. I think I'm safe in saying this is the "deluxe" set, but the insert is blue. There's some wear on outside (it's been stored away for years), but still strong and sturdy. My husband collected Canadian money (coins and paper)for several years - his hobby - but I'm a novice - so if you have any questions at all, please e-mail before bidding. I accept PayPal, money orders, cashier checks and personal checks. Personal checks will be held for clearance. Insurance will be an extra change (actual cost), and I do recommend it. PayPal is the only acceptable payment for international buyers and shipping for such buyers will be calculated at end of auction. I do combine shipping on multiple items
