GREAT CONDITION Set Historical Coins 1 REALE & 2 REALE Start Price USD 99.99 Current Price USD 99.99 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Friday, November 14, 2008 End Time Monday, November 24, 2008 Location Lusby, Maryland See more about 'GREAT CONDITION Set Historical Coins 1 REALE & 2 REALE' Description This set of coins were found in the  Southern part of Maryland.  Spanish coins are found up and down the East coast due to trade restrictions, and trading with the Spanish.  They are very hard to find, but a few turn up, but very few are in this condition.  SPANISH 1733 2 REALE, AND A 1/4 OF A 1 REALE.  HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER BY COIN COLLECTORS.  THE 1733 2 REALE IS IN OUTSTANDING CONDITION.  Even has great pipping (flutting) on the edge, which is very visiable.  The holes are due to the early people carrying these would place a hole in them to sew or wear on a chain, as they didn't have pockets like we have.  Also would help prevent pickpocketers from stealing them, in various ports.  The 1 Reale is cut in 1/4 due to that they would offer change to people by cutting the coins in the denominations needed.  THE PICTURES DON'T DO THEM JUSTICE.  These are EXTREMELY OLD COINS.  These coins were found on a very old farm in a old glass container.  I am selling these off, as I believe these should be shared with other people and can't justify keeping them in my home.  They have not been cleaned except with soap and water.  NO RESERVE AND EXTRA LOW STARTING PRICE.  PLEASE EMAIL ME WITH ANY QUESTIONS.
