Description Fabulous Potosi Mint Full Dated 1630 Eight Reale! This coin was part of a hoard of eight reales found in the Puno Region on the Bolivian/Peruvian Border. It was minted at the Potosi Mint. The shield on the obverse is double struck, with a portion of the P mintmark and T assayer's mark visible to the left. An almost complete legend of "Phillipvs IIII' is visible to the right of the shield. The Crusader's Cross is slightly double struck as well, but is very attractive. The full date 1630 is visible in the upper left quadrant. The coin weighs a nearly full weight of 26.8 grams and is in very fine condition.
