Description
You are looking at a very nice $5.00 Confederate Southern States Note from Jackson, Mississippi. This Civil War Period Note is from March, 1862. The note appears to be a Cr-13A, Rarity 6, with a long train in the center, a woman with a bow and arrows on the left and a tall sailing ship on the right, with the word "Cotton Pledged" in Script over the State of Mississippi. I am not a professional grader, so you need to judge the condition of the note from the images. The note has edge folds, creases, and pinholes, but it is 146 years old and appears to be in extremely good condition for its age. This note would make a handsome addition to any collection. This note comes from a non-smoking household. Before I acquired it, this item belonged to my Grandfather. If you are the winner of this auction, please make payment via PAY PAL within 48 hours of the end of the listing.
