Lottery' Description Rarely Encountered 1781 “Massachusetts Lottery” Ticket <   This is a boldly Printed Lottery ticket on fine-laid paper, 1.5” x 8.25”, with distinctive floral design at the left indent tab area of the ticket which remains fully intact. Unused, and reads: “THIS TICKET entitles the Possessor to such Prize as may be drawn against its Number, agreeable to an Act of the General Assembly of this State, passed February 19th, 1781.” Age-toned in the central portion, with some minor chipping and edge splits along two vertical folds.
