Description
1779 "Atlas Carrying A Boulder" PASS-CO Very Fine-35 South Carolina. February 8, 1779. Fifty Dollars. "Atlas Carrying A Boulder" vignette. Signed "Coram." Light conservation. PASS-CO graded Very Fine-35. This extremely popular series note is signed in the plate by "Coram" Sculptor, just below the "Atlas Carrying A Boulder" vignette on the reverse. The reverse is far better centered than typically seen, with all of the details upon the paper. The face is also quite well centered within four margins, the top being a bit close in places while the other three are very large and even. All of the text is clear, the signatures and serial number all in medium brown ink and this note shows only light even circulation. Item Number: 86836 NO RESERVE.
