Description
State of New Hampshire. April 29, 1780. Seven Dollars. Issue Guaranteed by the United States. No Cancel. PASS-CO graded Fine-12. < This important 1780 issued note carries a 5% annual interest which is stated to be Guaranteed by the United States. Some serious researchers of American history and finance continue to argue to this very day that the promised 5% interest of these notes should be compounded and still currently payable! The three red and brown signatures on the obverse are clear, while the guarantee signature on the reverse is present but very faint. There is light conservation and a trivial well restored centerfold edge split at top, as so noted on the holder. Printed in red and black, notes from this issue are extremely rare to locate having no cancel. According to the PMG population report, this note is the Finest Certified, as PMG has not yet certified even a single note from this denomination either with, or without a cancel. PASS-CO Grading Service is the industry standard for Grading and Authenticating Currency, Documents, Autographs and Historical Photographs.
