Description
jylitalo Store 500 Lire struck alone ring. Ring never had core component. Major Error! 1) Please notice the die-design elements struck onto the ring which are meant for the core. (both obverse and reverse). This occured because the core was never present during the strike. 2) The outer ring is comprised of magnetic stainless steel. The ring expanded in-ward during the strike allowing design meant for the core to be imparted onto the ring. 3) The trio of slotted keys you see on the inner-most portion of the ring are meant to penetrate the softer bronze core and create a strong interlock between ring and core. This is beautiful error coin and highly educational as to the minting process. This is an outstanding error which is seldom seen. The normal 500 Lire coin is for comparison only. The Pictures are the exact COIN you are Buying.
