F. KENNEDY SPECIAL BRONZE BAR A UNIQUE IDEA The exact design layout as that used for elongateds was used to reproduce silver and bronze bars.  The mintage for silver bars was 200 and 800 for the bronze. The image design on the bars is that of the J F Kennedy USA half dollar, the same as those produced on coins for the "Elongated Type Series" and listed as ADA-64. For the elongateds issued, there were 3 made on pennies, 5 on dimes, and for the regular main production 400 on nickels The bars were released in January 1974 and the official annoucement in Coin World December 19, 1973.
