Washington Bicent Medal, Lucien Bazor' Description (Baker 903A) This is a LARGE 68 mm (about 2 ¾ ”) in diameter, 128 gram (4.5 oz) 1932 bronze deco medal honoring George Washington (PATRIOT and LIBERATOR) on the bicentennial of his birth.  The Art Deco Medal was designed by Lucien Bazor (1889-1974) and features a great high relief portrait on the obverse.  The reverse features Mount Vernon as seen from an inner courtyard.  Bazor was chief engraver of the Paris Mint from 1930-1958.  This golden bronzes medal is NOT a re-strike.  Re-strikes from 1982 have a distinct reddish color.  The medal is in STRONG AU CONTITION with small areas of high point rub.  It was struck of the Monnaie De Paris and is edge marked BRONZE with the cornucopia mint mark.  I will combine postage for winning bidders of multiple items.  Look at my other auctions for more quality Medals.    Any questions?
