This is a necklace in almost new condition. It is a solid 18 Kt gold curb link necklace weighing in at 3.5 oz (100 grams). It has a very elegant cut so that the links lay tight together. It is a 20 inch end to end long chain and is a 1/4 of an inch wide. One of the pictures of it on the weight scale shows how much it ways in ounces and the other in grams. The picture of the clasp shows the 18 K stamp. The last closing of the spot gold price on June 26th was $911.40 an ounce (24 Kt gold of course). If this necklace were 24 KT gold it would be worth $3189.90 just for it's gold value, but it is not 24 KT gold. It is 18 KT gold which is 3/4 or .75 gold making it worth only 75 % of the 24 KT gold value. It would thus be worth $2392.43 in gold value. A couple of months ago I took it to a jewelry shop and inquired on the jewelry value. They told me that if they were selling such a piece that it would be priced at $3500.00. I do not want to mess up the appearance of the necklace, but if the buyer wants the gold tested for authenticity after he has bought it and paid for it then I will have it done and send the certification with the item.
