The variety occurs on 2008-W Burnished Silver Eagle coins, which have been struck using the reverse dies of 2007. The variety is most easily distinguished by the bowl shaped "U" of "United States" on the reverse of the coin.The estimated max mintage is  47,000- which makes this coin extremely rare and highly collectible.The discovery is the first variety for the 20 year old series.
