These two coins are sequentially numbered which is fairly rare in itself! These coins would make a registry set that much more perfect! This auction will also come with the original United States Mint packaging that were issued with the coins. Both coins are well struck with pleasing surfaces and each has a perfect certified grade by the leading third party grading service, PCGS. This is the first year the United States Mint has offered a fractional American Buffalo gold coin. The PCGS certification numbers of these coins are 13573981 and 13573982. These are collector versions of the official United States Mint American Buffalo One Ounce Gold Bullion Coin. The designs are based on the original 1913, Type I Buffalo nickel, as designed by James Earle Fraser. The obverse features a profile of a Native American.
