Description
This listing is for 1 SUPER RARE 2006 W (West Point Mint) Burnished 4 coin American Platinum Eagle encapsulated and graded as a MS 70 by PCGS. featuring the 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz and 1/10 oz.   2007 marks the 11th year that Platinum Eagles were minted continuing the legacy of the US Mint's ever-popular Eagle Bullion Program; while 2006 marks the inaugural year of the burnished series.  If you missed the boat on this edition,  you missed out on the some of the lowest minate coins in the past 90 years.  These are the new version of classics today without waiting 40 years to be discovered!    And these my friends, are the best of the best being a perfect 70 set. PCGS (Professional Coin Grading Service), the most respected third party grading service in the coin business, is continuing utilizing the "First Strike" tag or insert denoting that these coins were minted (issued) within the first 30 days of the new issue/calendar year.  A few more tidbits about platinum:   Platinum was only discovered in the 16th century and is at least 15 times rarer than gold and 150 times rarer than silver.   Platinum gained 24% in 2002, 33% in 2003 and another 5% last year. Shipping charges: $29. 95 including insurance in the good ole USA -USPS Registered Payment types: Paypal (to confirmed addresses only), money order, check (with a hold for 7 days to clear) Multiple coin shipping discount: SAME DAY wins only!  International shipping: Please ask before bidding as some countries are not viable.  Sales Tax: NJ Residents add 7%   RETURN POLICY    98% of the coins I sell are certified and graded by a 3rd party grading company (TPG) - PCGS, NGC, ICG, ANACS, etc.  (the major and most credible ones).  Each grading company ultimately has a guarantee on the coins they grade and slab, which may be different from each other.  Please be aware of the grading company's coins policies are that you are buying.   Before any returns are accepted, you must contact me via e-mail or phone to discuss the specific issues with the item being returned within three days of recepit of the coin(s). Please take into consideration that "I am not a professional coin grader."  If you disagree with the grade on the holder, you can take that up with the grading service and not me!  Buyers remorse and third party grading issues are not valid reasons for a return and therefore will incur some special return fees.  A broken slab or gross misrepresentation of the item are valid reasons for a return and a full refund will be issued.  However, the original shipping package and USPS proof of damage if applicable must be returned inside another package in order to process your return for a full refund.  No package or no USPS verification of damaged shipping slip, no refund, no exceptions! The buyer will then have the option for an exchange or a full refund.  You have 7 days to return the item, the USPS delivery confirmation date will be used as reference.  Customer satisfaction is my number one goal!  Window shoppers have been costing me a bit of money and time, therefore the changes in my new return policy are for my protection as well as that of the serious buyer.  For those items that do not meet the new return policy criteria, you will receive a refund minus all shipping fees, Ebay fees and a 20% restocking fee.   SOME VERY IMPORTANT FACTORS THAT SHOULD BE CONSIDERED BEFORE INVESTING IN THE RARE COIN MARKET    RISK: The purchase of coins is highly speculative and involves substantial risk. As in other markets, coin prices can be extremely volatile and will rise and fall depending upon market conditions. Therefore, before purchasing coins, you should first have adequate cash reserves and other assets to absorb a potentially significant loss. HOLDING PERIOD: Historically, few coins have appreciated dramatically in the short term. Therefore, purchasers should recognize that it may well be necessary for them to hold coins for a 3 - 5 year period, or even a 5 - 10 year period, to have any chance of realizing a significant gain.   On Oct-30-07 at 09:38:00 PDT, seller added the following information:
