Description
This 2004 $5 Silver Maple Leaf - D-Day Privy is a very special privy marked silver maple coin. The RCM started adding privy marks to limited mintages of their Silver Maple Leaf coins in 1998. In 2004 the Royal Canadian Mint produced this double privy coin to commemorate the 60th anniversary of D-Day. Each coin depicts a soldier, and the date of the invasion, which is located on the reverse side of the SML. Like all Silver Maple Leafs this coin is a one ounce coin minted to the standard of 99.99% purity!! These coins weigh 31.39 grams (one troy ounce) and are 38 mm in diameter and 3.15 mm thick. The reverse of this Silver Maple Leaf coin shows a brilliant relief image of a maple leaf against a satin background. The privy mark is to the right of the maple leaf's stem. The photo show how excellently this privy mark is stamped. The obverse of this coin carries the brilliant relief image of the Queen against a satin background. This SML privy coin has a low mintage of 12,485. This coin comes sealed in an Air-tite Capsule. Please note, there is no COA with this coin.
