Description
This 2001 Candian $200 Gold Coin, developed in colaboration with the National Gallery of Canada, is the first issue in the four-coin Canadian Arts series (2001-2004).  The reverse of the coin features an adaptation of The Habitant Farm, one of Krieghoff's celebrated works that he produced in 1856.  The obverse bears the effigy of Her majesty Queen Elizabeth II by artist Dora de Pedery-Hunt. This 22-karat gold proof coin contains 91.67% fine gold, 8.33% fine silver and has a face value of $200 Canadian.  It weighs 17.135 grams, of which a minimum of 15.552 grams (1/2 troy ounce) are fine gold.  The coin measures 29 millimetres across its diameter. This 2001 Canadian $200 Gold Coin was authorizedby the Government of Canada.  It is proof quality and was expertly struck by the Royal Canadian Mint with a limited mintage of 10,000 worldwide.  The certificate of authenticity with this coin bears the number 03634.  Coin comes in original presentation box.
