This 22-karat gold proof coin contains 91.67% fine gold, 8.33% fine silver and has a face value of $200 Canadian.  It weighs 17.135 grams, of which a minimum of 15.552 grams (1/2 troy ounce) are fine gold.  The coin measures 29 millimetres across its diameter. This 2001 Canadian $200 Gold Coin was authorizedby the Government of Canada.  It is proof quality and was expertly struck by the Royal Canadian Mint with a limited mintage of 10,000 worldwide.  The certificate of authenticity with this coin bears the number 03634.  Coin comes in original presentation box.
