Description
20 Large Choice Roman Provincial Bronze Coins Ranging in size from 22 to 27 millimeters wide. This is one choice set of provincials !! The pictures say all !!!! Enjoy!!!!........Tater Roman Provincial coins are coins that were minted in the provinces of the Roman Empire by civic authorities rather than by Imperial authorities. These coins were a continuation of the original currency system that existed prior to the arrival of the Romans. The coins issued by a city were mostly used by the inhabitents of that city in local transactions. When a new region was conquered by Rome, the Imperial authority would often allow the continuation of the original currency as a matter of practicality. Often, when a new Colony was formed it would be given power to mint bronze coins.
