The silver commemorative dollar is minted in sterling silver (92.5% silver, 7.5% copper).  Also included is the bimetallic $2 (or "twoonie") coin.  This twoonie is  minted with a sterling silver outer ring and core.  However the inner core is covered with a 24K gold plating.  The loon dollar is minted in nickel-plated bronze.  All the other coins (except the bronze one cent coin) are minted in sterling silver also!!  The commemorative dollar is  25.175 grams each and 36.07 mm in diameter.  The twoonie is 8.83 grams and is 28.07 mm in diameter.  The loon dollar is 7 grams and 26.5 mm in diameter.
