Description
1998 China 5 Ounce Silver Proof Panda Up for auction here is a very collectible 1988 China Five Ounce Silver Proof Panda from the Shenyang Mint. This Fifty Yuan Coin is an official coin of the People's Republic of China, and is a wonderful issue for collectors, as this large, Five Ounce Silver Proof Coin also comes with an official and elegant Mint Case, featuring the image of a panda on the top of the box. Coin is in the original packaging and has not been opened or disturbed, and is in original, just-released condition, with no visible signs of circulation, flaws or handling! Obverse depicts two giant pandas climbing in the tree, face value, silver weight and fineness. The reverse is the national name of the PRC, the issuing year and the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests in the Temple of Heaven in Beijing. Again, it is a legal tender coin of PRC. Coin has a tremendously low mintage, with just under 11,000 coin's minted by the PRC that year! Again, this beautiful con ships with fancy wood box and elegant patterned case, along with a double-sided Certificate of Authenticity/Informational Sheet. Overall, this is a great item for collectors of World Proof Sets and should make for a fine addition to any growing collection! Please examine the pictures provided to best judge the item.
