Description
*** PAYPAL ONLY (no e-checks) *** You're bidding on a 1986 VERY RARE Canada AU $5. AU because of a light fold or bend in the center: it's hard to say. When I place it on my finger, the note is bending down a little bit like any crisp UNC note because of the weight: not more. And this is the same when I place the front up or the back up: one thing I'm sure of: that note has never been folded in two completely, because it would be evident, even on the joined photos, particularly on the one where we can see the number 43 and, at the right of the number, we see the center of the bill: do you see the fold? I believe not, but it's still there. We even see the grain of the paper. Conclusion: unfortunately, it's not a "perfect" note, but there are not plenty better than this one. Even the one which appears on the back cover of the Charlton 2007 doesn't look so sharp: it's the same ENX note, but the blue number is 28 or 29. According to Charlton, the quantity printed is unknown . Plus, it's a replacement note and more, the back plate number (43 for this one) is in blue, while for this issue, they have printed an estimated total of 2,260,000 in yellow. That's why Charlton list the yellow at $175-$425 from AU to UNC while it's $375-$775 for the number in blue. I know it's difficult to see on the photo (I took it with a little magnifier in my left hand and a camera with zoom in my right hand), but al least, you can see the color. OOPS!!! I have added a photo and now you can see the blue "43" at the right of the left tree, about one inch above the "5" of the left serial number. It's one of those rarities that will surely interest a spelialist collector or anybody who likes to own a banknote like that. If the printing quantity is unknown, suppose they printed 10,000 fresh new bills. How many of them went in the pockets of people and passed from hand to hand? How many are left (in that condition)? Think about it and happy reflexion...!
