Here's a beautiful and rare 1949 Specimen Dollar, New Foundland. This is a true specimen with deep flat mirror fields and sharp devices, high square rims and full dentical. This is certified by NGC and tightly graded as Specimen 65, Premium Quality grade. This coin is very conservatively graded without any hairlines or marks noted on the fields. I have seen many time over specimens from 1935 to 1953, 1964 and 1966, but have not seen a true 1949 specimen, especially one certified by NGC. This is tied 3rd highest with 2 others higher in the NGC population report. This coin catalogs at $5000 in Specimen 65 and extremely hard to find in this very high grade.
