Canada 1937 Dollar PCGS Specimen 66PQ, Rare Grade, Sharp Obverse Rims, Original Colors A rare find is this 1937 Matte Specimen Dollar that is Graded PCGS 66 in Green Label. This one is a PQ coin with no problems and sharp strike and clean fields. A very conservatively graded coin that is very clean of anything and should have been assigned a higher graded 67, maybe 68? This coin has a very nice strike. Most of the matte 1937 were struck with a broad edge, which basically means the rims were flatly struck and the denticle are flat struck and not very appealing. Only the mirror version has full rims and denticles. This coin is the exception, which is struck with 90-95 % full rims and denticals on the obverse. An extremely rare coin that I would presume to be one of the earlier or first strike coins. Very low population and most likely one of the best in Grade.
